GET information meeting Wednesday
GET – Guaranteed Education Tuition – is Washington’s program to help families save for college. There will be an information meeting on Wednesday, March 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Whatcom Community College’s Syre Building.
GET is a prepaid tuition plan that is guaranteed to keep pace with rising tuition costs. People can purchase tuition units (usually 100 units equals a year of school) and save them for when children are ready to attend college (almost any college in the country). The price of units reflects the current cost of college, so purchasing units early could potentially save families lots of money down the road.
